February 1, 2017

With the school holidays over and having to get into the real swing of 2017, nights off have become all the more valuable. Whilst summer is still here and the sun is happily sticking around to all hours of the evening, what better use of your precious Friday nights than to make your way down to Johnstone Park for the ‘Nightjar in the City’ markets every Friday night during February.

From 4 till 10, see the range of designers and musicians in the buzzing atmosphere created by the independent artists festival. With a range of family friendly activities, an array of stalls and lengthy beer and wine options, the choice is there to enjoy the night with family or a group of friends. And just a 10 minute walk away, the Wharf Shed Café can satisfy the post market, sit down family meal cravings, or a peaceful beer overlooking the water; whichever tickles your fancy.

Sitting on the waterfront, with a magical sunset view of the Geelong pier, what a way to finish off an afternoon of soy candle scenting and local design viewing. Alternatively, start off with a light dinner with us, and head along the waterfront and up to the Nightjar market for some late night music and drinks. Don’t miss one of Geelong’s summer highlights and make an evening of it, one that you’ll be planning in advance for next year.
